Ik ben Iris en ik maak keramiek.

Na jaren in een hele andere wereld heb ik uiteindelijk met liefde gekozen voor; handen in de klei, het maken van dingen die betekenis hebben met aandacht voor detail. Mijn leven draait om rust en natuur - de tuin - mijn dieren en familie.

Deze vibe komt terug in mijn werk. Mijn keramiek gaat over het vrouwelijk lichaam in haar natuurlijke vorm - zonder opsmuk, zonder afleidingen. Eerlijk. Puur. Zacht. Het spreekt niet tot iedereen en dat is precies de bedoeling. Het is voor wie het voelt, wie het ziet en weet; dit past bij mij.

After years spent in a completely different world, I finally made a conscious choice to dedicate myself to working with clay—creating meaningful pieces with an eye for detail. My life revolves around peace and nature—the garden—my animals and family.

This vibe is reflected in my work. My ceramics is about the female body in its natural form—without embellishment, without distractions. Honest. Pure. Soft. It doesn’t speak to everyone, and that’s exactly the point. It’s for those who feel it, who see it and know: this resonates with me.
